Launching the search for our Digital Executive in Residence

From AI initiatives to personalization and global customer experiences, the most successful companies are integrating digital transformations alongside privacy to build real-time permissioning layers that power growth.

That’s why today, we’re starting our search for our Digital Executive in Residence, a critical position that will sit alongside our Field Chief Privacy Officer and CISO In Residence to help guide the privacy community as compliance, growth, and security move closer and closer together.

Importantly, this role requires zero privacy experience. We’re seeking an experienced digital transformation leader who will serve as the third leg of our integrated “privacy, security and digital” pod to lead the industry within a rapidly changing privacy landscape.

Why a Digital Executive In Residence, and why now?

Over the past year, we’ve seen businesses moving quickly on key questions: Can we use this dataset? Can we launch this revenue initiative? Can we roll out this new customer experience? Alongside this, we’ve watched consent and preference management move rapidly from a compliance task into the center of growth strategy.

To meet this demand, growth-oriented companies are re-architecting their systems to ensure real-time permissioning and compliance so they can move forward with speed, and better orient privacy and compliance alongside growth initiatives.

But we also know this isn’t yet the status quo for every organization. We often hear from privacy leaders who are still struggling to forge this partnership with marketing or product teams, or perhaps feel ill-equipped to tie projects to board-level KPIs.

We also hear directly from product and marketing leaders who are under intense pressure to deliver, and are frustrated by (and actively replacing!) their existing legacy consent and preference tools.

Our vision is for our Digital Executive in Residence program to be on our team, and the industry’s go-to resource, to help foster this crucial growth partnership. Because we know that now more than ever, privacy can help unlock compliant growth through AI, personalized experiences, and growth with speed and confidence.

What is the Digital Executive In Residence?

Modeled on our successful CISO in Residence program, the Digital Executive In Residence is a short-term, high-impact collaboration designed to connect the executives shaping digital transformation with the privacy and data infrastructure powering it.

Our Digital Executive in Residence will:

• Engage with enterprise CMOs, CDOs, and digital leaders as a peer voice—sharing lessons from the field and helping guide strategy.
• Elevate the conversation of permissioning layers (e.g., consent and preference management) as critical enablers of personalization, growth, and AI readiness—not just compliance.
• Co-create thought leadership content to educate the privacy community on best in class principles and advise the Transcend community on emerging digital and marketing transformation trends.

Who we’re looking for

This is a high-impact role for a former or current Chief Digital Officer, CMO, VP of Personalization, or Head of Data Strategy at a company that has driven large-scale digital transformations, especially in regulated or data-rich industries like financial services, healthcare, consumer tech, or enterprise SaaS.

We’re particularly looking for someone who has:

• Led enterprise-scale efforts to modernize customer data infrastructure
• Overseen preference and consent modernization across brands, regions, and stacks
• Pioneered groundbreaking innovations in personalization, AI enablement, loyalty and retention strategies

The ideal candidate has operated at the executive table—across marketing, product, or digital—and seen what it takes to earn trust, scale growth, and move fast without breaking governance.
