Montana Data Privacy Law comes into effect

On October 1st, Montana’s Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA) came into effect. If you are a Consent Management user, you can ensure you are covered by leveraging our US Do Not Sell/Share configuration:

  1. Navigate to the Regional Experiences page
  2. Click "Add Experience" on the top right corner
  3. Select "US_DNSS" in the Experience Preset dropdown to enable the US Do Not Sell/Share configurations. This will cover Montana and other relevant state regulations.

Please note: These updates to our presets only cover new US Do Not Sell/Share users. If you have already enabled the US Do Not Sell/Share (US_DNSS) regional experience, or a similar US regional experience, you will need to update your ‘Regions’ list to include Montana. Read more about Montana’s Consumer Data Privacy Act on our blog.

Data retention period for Assessments

The next time you build or edit an Assessment template, you will notice a new field called ‘Retention Schedule’. This optional field allows you to set an expiration period on responses collected via a specific assessment. This is especially useful in cases where assessments are completed for impermanent projects and you’d like the responses automatically deleted. Access your Assessment Templates.

We have also made it possible for you to sync assessment responses to custom fields within the Data Inventory, a feature that previously only supported default fields. Learn how to set up response syncing to the Data Inventory.

Integrations

  • SharePoint now supports access requests created by Data Subject Request (DSR) automation
  • NetSuite now supports access requests created by Data Subject Request (DSR) automation and Structured Discovery to find and categorize personal data points.
