Each year, the IAPP’s Global Privacy Summit brings together the newest ideas and points of view on privacy, as we all seek to learn and adapt to an industry undergoing continuous change and evolution. If you work in privacy, it’s the closest thing to the Super Bowl!
This year’s conference in Washington D.C. is proving to be no exception...read on to learn how and where to find us, and grab a few goodies to take home!
One of the best parts of GPS is meeting so many folks we’ve been talking to throughout the year. Come by Transcend’s booth 101 to get up to speed on how we’re helping companies overhaul their privacy projects, and join our Learning Center talks throughout each day on fulfilling your company’s CPRA obligations.
It wouldn’t be a conference if we didn’t bring some swag too! At #GPS23 we’re launching The Swag Stop, our little cart with only the coolest privacy swag, if we do say so ourselves ;) Our famous ‘Data Rights for All’ caps are back, and we’ll got some limited run swag giveaways planned for across the conference…watch this space.
(Plus, if you’re close by the Exhibit Hall on Tuesday, we’re hosting a happy hour at the Transcend booth at 3:30pm on Tuesday).
It’s a given that technical privacy teams need to know the ins and out of data collection and processing in line with regulations and best practices. But are there missed opportunities to go further and use privacy to delight users and increase engagement?
Join Uber Group Product Manager Zack Singleton, Airbnb Sr Product Manager Ansuman Acharya, Whatsapp Sr Product Manager Calvin Pappas, and Transcend CEO and Co-founder Ben Brook for a conversation on how privacy product teams can push beyond compliance, and harness privacy as a business growth lever.
Catch their panel on Tuesday at 1pm in Room 147A of the Convention Center.
We’re thrilled to support this year’s LGBTQ + Allies Afterparty, this year back bigger than ever as TRANSCENDANCE, in support of SMYAL (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders) and LGBT Tech. The LGBTQ + Allies Afterparty is a staple of the IAPP conference scene, and this year is being held at Pitchers bar in DC on Tuesday night, with doors opening at 8:30pm.
Alongside privacy-themed cocktails, a photobooth, and much more, there’ll be special guest performances from Bombalicious, Dextra DeNovo, and DJ Matt Bailer.
Tickets are expected to sell out early, so grab yours in advance.
For members of our Privacy Pulse Slack community who are making the trek to this year’s conference, we’d love to meet you in person!
Join us at the Transcend booth on Tuesday at 3:30pm for Happy Hour (and some special swag, too!)
Transcend will a sponsor of and will be exhibiting at IAPP’s Global Privacy Summit in Washington D.C. You can find us in the Exhibit Hall from Monday April 3 to Wednesday April 5 at Booth 101. We’d love to see you—if you’d like to pre-schedule time to meet, you can reach out to us here (include ‘IAPP GPS meeting’ in the ‘Anything Else?’ field).
