Transcend, the all-in-one data privacy and governance platform, proudly welcomes Ron De Jesus to its leadership team as the first-ever Field Chief Privacy Officer (FCPO).

With a distinguished career spanning nearly two decades, Ron brings unparalleled expertise and leadership in privacy strategy and advocacy. His appointment marks a significant milestone in Transcend's commitment to innovation and thought leadership in the rapidly evolving data privacy landscape.

As the former Chief Privacy Officer at Grindr and its first DPO, Ron pioneered initiatives to safeguard user privacy within one of the world's largest social networking platforms for the LGBTQ+ community. Prior to Grindr, Ron led privacy strategy and operations for all North American brands owned and operated by Match Group, Inc., including Tinder, PlentyOfFish, OKCupid, Match.com, and Hinge. He has also served as the Global Privacy Director at Tapestry, Inc., led privacy efforts for American Express as the Global Network Services Privacy Director, and helped establish data protection and privacy practices at PwC and Deloitte.

Beyond his work as an in-house privacy leader, Ron has consulted for the Fortune 500, across multiple industries for over 15 years. With deep expertise in advising clients on the ever-evolving privacy legal landscape, Ron has assessed, created, and implemented comprehensive privacy programs and has operationalized privacy strategies for numerous corporations, including Thomson Reuters, Coach, Speechify, and Product Lab AI, via his own boutique consultancy.

Ron co-leads the Diversity in Privacy Board and is a Faculty Member of the world’s largest privacy organization, the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Ron also co-authored the latest Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) textbook and is a frequent contributor to the IAPP Privacy Advisor. His contributions extend beyond organizational boundaries, as evidenced by his leadership in the LGBTQ Privacy & Tech Network, a global coalition of privacy professionals driving social impact through fundraising initiatives.

"We are thrilled to have Ron De Jesus join Transcend as our inaugural Field Chief Privacy Officer," stated Brandon Wiebe, General Counsel & Head of Privacy at Transcend.

"Ron's wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to privacy advocacy perfectly align with Transcend's focus on translating the complexities of privacy technology into competitive advantages and actionable business strategies for our customers."

In his new role, Ron will embody Transcend's mission to strengthen the privacy community and drive competitive advantages for customers that range from the world’s most advanced technology companies to household consumer brands. His vision for the Field Chief Privacy Officer role aligns seamlessly with Transcend's commitment to innovation and user-centric privacy practices. Ron remarked:
