Welcome to the latest installment of Life at Transcend!

In this series, we take a few minutes getting to know a member of the Transcend family––learning about their past and the path that took them to Transcend.

Meet Sagar Parikh, Strategic Account Executive for Enterprise.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Born in Texas and raised in Southern California, I’ve always had a strong connection to athletics, exploration, and personal growth. From my early days playing baseball and basketball to my passion for cycling, staying active has always been a huge part of my life.

After studying Economics and Business Management at UCI, I kicked off my career in post-production finance at Warner Bros., but my entrepreneurial spirit soon led me in an entirely new direction - moving to Spain in 2008 to start an English academy.

I ended up living there for six years, immersing myself in the culture, the language, and of course, the incredible cuisine. One of my greatest souvenirs? My beloved pug, Nano, who made the journey back to the U.S. with me.

Beyond work, I’m deeply passionate about technology and its impact on humanity, constantly seeking out new innovations that drive progress. I also make time for philanthropy, whether that’s helping at a homeless shelter or supporting the local humane society.

Exploring new places, trying new cuisines, and going on adventures are my go-to ways to recharge. And when I’m not traveling, you can probably find me behind the decks, spinning house music, or in the kitchen, experimenting with new dishes and cocktails.

Above all, I consider myself someone you can always count on - whether as a friend, family member, or colleague. Discipline, adaptability, and accountability drive everything I do. No excuses, just action.

Describe your path to Transcend. How did you end up here?

Having spent years working in technology and enterprise sales, I’ve had the privilege of building relationships with incredible clients, peers, and executives. But privacy? That was a space I hadn’t deeply explored - at least, not beyond the headlines on evolving regulations.

What I didn’t realize was that my next opportunity was already in motion. A former advisor of mine recommended me to Transcend’s Head of Sales, believing not only that I’d be a strong fit but that I would truly enjoy the company’s mission, culture, and vision. That initial nudge led me down the rabbit hole - researching Transcend, the privacy landscape, and the challenges organizations face in this domain.

The more I learned, the more I was hooked. Privacy is becoming one of the most critical technological and ethical challenges of our time - and Transcend wasn’t just talking about it. They were solving it.

Meeting the team only reinforced what I had already felt - our values aligned, the work was meaningful, and the opportunity for impact was massive. One conversation led to another, and before I knew it, I became a Transcendist - and I couldn’t be happier.

What do you work on at Transcend?

As part of the Go-To-Market team, I work as a Strategic Account Executive, partnering with Fortune 500 organizations to help them reimagine privacy through technology.

My role isn’t just about selling - it’s about understanding. I spend my time identifying industry-wide trends, thematic challenges, and evolving regulatory landscapes to help organizations craft a privacy-first strategy that aligns with both compliance and consumer trust.

Whether it’s consent or preference management, data discovery and classification, or access and erasure rights, my job is to navigate complex privacy challenges and help enterprises build an optimized privacy framework. To do this effectively, I collaborate across marketing, product, engineering, finance, legal, and customer success - ensuring we’re aligned every step of the way.

A huge perk of the job? Traveling to conferences, meeting privacy professionals from diverse industries, and staying at the forefront of this ever-evolving space. It’s an exciting and meaningful field, and I love being a part of it.

What’s your favorite part of working at Transcend?

Without a doubt - the people.

Everyone at Transcend is driven, passionate, and committed to our mission. We come from different backgrounds, bring unique perspectives, and push each other to grow. It’s an environment where you’re encouraged to be yourself and constantly challenged to improve.

I also love the opportunity to represent Transcend at conferences, the company off-sites that bring us all together, and the shared mindset of supporting one another in everything we do.

Beyond that, there’s something incredibly gratifying about helping organizations navigate the increasingly complex world of privacy. Knowing that we work with some of the biggest global brands - and that we’re making a real impact in how they protect consumer data - keeps me motivated and hungry for more.

What’s one Transcend value that resonates with you, and why?

Step in, step up.

This value speaks to me because it’s applicable to everything in life - at work, in personal challenges, and in growth.

I truly believe in the power of action. No matter the situation, I step in where I can, contribute however possible, and take ownership of my impact.

At Transcend, this means not waiting for the perfect moment or a detailed roadmap - but proactively solving problems, taking responsibility, and driving results. I think this mindset is critical in sales, leadership, and in life overall.

Where can we find you when you’re not logged on?

When I’m not deep in privacy discussions or meeting with customers, you’ll likely find me embracing the things that bring me energy and balance. I’m passionate about staying mentally and physically sharp, which means carving out time at the gym or taking on the challenge of a long cycling route through the mountains.

My love for travel and exploration often leads me to places like England, Spain, or a secluded beach somewhere exotic, where I can soak in new cultures and experiences. Music is another constant in my life - whether I’m dancing the night away to non-stop house beats or behind the mixer, spinning tech and afro-house, there’s nothing quite like getting lost in the rhythm.

At home, I tap into my green thumb in the garden or experiment in the kitchen. I also make it a priority to give back, volunteering at homeless shelters and local humane societies to support my community.

And of course, I’m always on the lookout for the next great restaurant, where I can discover innovative dishes, share stories, and enjoy incredible food over meaningful conversations with friends and family!
